How we work

Risk-based, data-led, evidenced.

Every task is defined against the regulation that governs it, assigned to an officer trained and assessed for that specific duty, and recorded so the evidence exists before anybody asks for it.

That last part is what separates a compliant operation from a defensible one. When a regulator, an airline auditor or an insurer asks what happened on a given stand at a given hour, the answer is a record, not a recollection.

A hold search on an A380 is a materially different job from a narrowbody — in time, in team size and in the number of places something can be hidden. These are types we handle regularly; the list is not exhaustive.

Questions about aviation security.

Yes. Every member of staff performing a security function is counter-terrorist checked and DBS checked before an offer of employment is made, and satisfies a full five-year checkable and verifiable work and education history to BS 7858. Where a contract requires clearance above that, we can sponsor it — we are registered to do so with the Ministry of Defence.

DfT Level 1 training and the UK CAA General Security Operative course — nineteen modules, a theory exam and a practical assessment — followed by one week of on-the-job training covering the specific duties of their post. Recurrent training then follows every twelve months as a mandatory UK CAA requirement.

Most types. Those we handle regularly include the Airbus A380 and A350, and the Boeing 747, 777 and 787 Dreamliner. Widebody hold search is a materially different job from a narrowbody and we are staffed and trained for it.

Yes. We support permanent contracts, seasonal programmes and one-off flight requirements, including ad-hoc VVIP movements. We deliberately over-recruit so that relief cover exists when it is needed.

UK aviation security requirements set by the Department for Transport and enforced by the Civil Aviation Authority, alongside the airline’s own national requirements where these are stricter.
